Warranty

Restoration Glass® will exhibit slight distortions, occasional bubbles and/or surface imperfections which are characteristic of the glass and not considered defects. Slight variations in color and surface "movement" are also acceptable and considered characteristic of the glass.

Consult a design professional for issues that may apply to your project such as: safety requirements, frame design, installation methods and local building codes. Bendheim suggests the use of safety laminated glass wherever safety is a consideration.

Bendheim warrants its laminated Restoration Glass® meets the requirements of ANSI Z97.1 and the Consumer Products Safety Commission Standard 16 CFR1201.

Bendheim warrants, only to the original customer, for a period of one year from the date of sale to the customer, that the glass supplied by Bendheim will meet the customer's specifications in terms of thickness and dimension, whether the glass is annealed non-safety, or laminated.

This warranty does not cover glass scratches, abrasions, breakage, delamination or edge separation due to improper installation, cleaning or handling procedures, sealant incompatibility, or to design or engineering failure.

Placement of an order via this website constitutes acceptance of all Bendheim's policies, terms and conditions displayed on this website. Under no circumstances will Bendheim, its officers, affiliates, subsidiaries or employees be liable for damages of any kind arising from the use of this website and/or misuse of any Bendheim Product.

Under no circumstances will Bendheim be liable for any amount in excess of the price paid by customer for the purchase of Bendheim's products.

Damages to Bendheim's product must be reported to Bendheim, in writing, within 2 days of customer's receipt of delivery. The purchaser shall examine the subject goods for any damage, defect or shortage, and notify Bendheim of the same. Time is of the essence. If the purchaser fails to notify Bendheim within 2 days of delivery its claims shall be deemed waived. Damaged goods and packaging materials must be retained for inspection and shall not be returned without prior written consent of Bendheim.

In the event of a failure of a glass product as a result of defects covered by this limited warranty, Bendheim may supply a comparable product at no charge (FOB NJ), or may, at its option, refund the original purchase price paid to Bendheim for the product, prorated over the warranty period to reflect the time during which the product has been free of defect. If a comparable product is supplied, the warranty on the replacement shall be for the balance of the original warranty period. Bendheim will endeavor to match the replacement products but cannot guarantee exactly matching the original product in terms of appearance. The replacement of the product or, at the company's option, the refund of the original purchase price paid to Bendheim for the product, shall be the Purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy for any failure, including any failure resulting from negligence or breach of contract on part of Bendheim.

The guidelines listed below must be followed for the installation of laminated Restoration Glass®. Any deviation will void any and all warranties.

  1. Use only Neutral Cure Silicone Sealants.
  2. All gaskets, glazing materials, setting blocks, etc. must be compatible.
  3. Use only approved structural glazing.
  4. Do not use acid based sealants.
  5. Do not use solvent-base primers or other products prior to applying sealants.
  6. Do not use neoprene setting blocks.
  7. Do not use cleaners containing hydrocarbon solvents.

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, whether written or oral, express or implied.
